He has published 50 articles in national scientific journals relative to the biology of Pacific cod, walleye pollock, Atka mackerel, and other species.
Welcome Dr. Sen Tok Kim to the ESSAS Scientific Steering Committee
ESSAS welcomes Dr. Sen Tok Kim as a new member of its Scientific Steering Committee. Dr. Kim is a marine biologist who heads the laboratory of commercial fishes at the Sakhalin Scientific Research Institute of Fishery and Oceanography (SakhNIRO) in Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk, Russia. He received his undergraduate degree in 1983 from the Far-Eastern State University in Vladivostok.
He received his PhD in 1997 from the Institute of Marine Biology in Vladivostok where he carried out research on the biology of Pacific cod off Sakhalin and Kuril islands. His current major research interests are: the biological aspects and dynamics of fishery resources; and spatial-temporal changes of fish community structure on the continental shelf and upper slope zone in areas of East Sea and Okhotsk Sea.
